Walk Your Transformational Path

I came upon a dark, narrow path bordered by trees on both sides when I went on a hike the other day with my dog. The path was both beautiful and mysterious at the same time. Limited visibility and the loud, crackling sounds of the trees with each breath of wind caused me to pause briefly to assess for any “danger.” A decision was required – continue on or turn around. Ultimately, I decided to trudge on.

The initial part of the trek was uneasy to say the least because my senses were on high alert, but my concerns were gradually alleviated with each step forward as I became acclimated to the new environment. At the end of the dark, tree-laden path was the most gorgeous stretch of coastline. Obviously the trek through the dark woods was well worth it, and I was glad that I overcame my initial unease.

Transformational Path

On my way back to my car, I began to think about how my hiking experience was similar, in a metaphorical sense, to what everyone experiences in their life at some point. We often come upon a dark, tree-laden path (e.g., a difficult situation or circumstance) that makes us uncomfortable, and we have to decide whether to move forward or turn around. Will the end of your dark path be as beautiful as the coastline I discovered? It definitely could be, but the only way to find out is to push through any fear, doubt, anxiety, etc., when you find yourself at the edge of a transformational life path.

Personal growth requires you to step outside of your comfort zone and to get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable so you can ultimately see and experience the beauty on the other side.

Are you ready to start walking your transformational path to see if indescribable beauty awaits?
